Today at the ITP 3 a group of girls between grades eight and ten visited the institute for the Girl'sDay 2025 to learn how to program a quantum computer. After a crash course in informatics and quantum mechanics they could try their hand at programming a (future) quantum computer using the QRydDemo circuit designer, and learn in a small project about the advantage a quantum computer can provide.
During the day the girls also had a chance to visit the labs of the 5th Institute of Physics, where currently a prototype quantum computer is being built.
