The joint project QRydDemo has started. The project aims to realize a demonstrator for a Rydberg quantum computer together with researchers of the 5th Institute of Physics, the Institute of Complex Quantum Systems at the University of Ulm, and TOPTICA Photonics AG as an industry partner. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research supports this project with nine Million Euro, the industry partner contributes another 1.1 Millionen Euro. Within the project, we analyze the interaction between Rydberg atoms and develop protocols for high-fidelity Rydberg quantum gates.
